RECRUITMENT PROCESS
The Glen Roberts Child Study Center has three main training cohorts: Masters level, Predoctoral level and Postdoctoral level.
MA/MS - Pre and post degree, the center will accept applications beginning in January of the training year. The training year begins for this group in early July and completes at the end of the following June. Individuals who would like to apply should submit a resume and a list of three references. Applicants will then be contacted for a group and possibly an individual interview. Interviewing begins in late January and continues through the Spring. Applicants will be notified via phone call or in writing whether or not they are being offered a position.
MFT Trainee/Intern Information Sheet >> Predoctoral - The Glen Roberts Child Study Center is a member of the California Psychology Internship Council (CAPIC) and is required to follow its guidelines and notification dates. Please visit www.capic.net for more information. The training year begins for Predoctoral interns the Tuesday following Labor Day and ends on the last Wednesady of July. Applicants need to have completed a minimum of their practicum placement and must be attending an accredited school of psychology. Applicants for predoctoral internship positions should submit a resume or vitae along with a list of references, including one from their current placement. Letters of recommendation are also accepted but are secondary to the list of references. Applicants will then be contacted for both group and individual interviews. Interviewing begins in February and continues through March. Applicants will be notified via phone on the CAPIC notification day, which is usually the first week of April.

Postdoctoral - This position is a stipended fellowship position. Position (s) may be full or part time. The training year for this position generally starts the Tuesday after Labor Day; however, much depends on the individual fellow's professional needs. Applications for this position are accepted anytime after January. Applicants should submit their resume or vitae and 3 references, including one from their current placement or place of employment. Applicants will then be contacted for an interview with the Clinic Director and the Director of Training. Additional interviews may be requested. Applicants will be notified by phone.
