  • Learn to use play therapy techniques in the evaluation, goal development, and treatment planning for child disorders.
  • Gain an understanding of the role of the play therapist and identify elements and stages of the play therapy relationship.
  • Review essential theorists that contributed to the history of play therapy.
  • Learn to identify developmentally appropriate play therapy toys and materials that can be incorporated into a therapeutic setting.
  • Gain a working knowledge of a broad range of effective interventions with children, parents, and families.
